TRUST THE PROCESS
When Things Don’t Go as Planned, Keep the Faith
Life doesn’t always unfold the way we imagined. We make plans, set goals, work hard, and expect certain things to happen within a certain timeframe. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, things take an unexpected turn. Doors close, opportunities are delayed, plans fall apart, and suddenly we’re left wondering what happened.
In those moments, we have to remind ourselves to trust the process.
Everything Won't Always Go According to Plan
Sometimes we become so focused on how things are supposed to happen that we struggle when they happen differently. We question our decisions, second-guess ourselves, and spend valuable time worrying about situations we cannot immediately change.
But worrying won’t change yesterday, speed up tomorrow, or give us control over everything happening today. It only takes away the peace we need to keep moving forward.
There will be disappointments, unexpected challenges, and seasons when progress seems slower than we hoped. Yet even in those moments, life is still unfolding, lessons are being learned, and new possibilities may be developing in ways we cannot yet see.
Keep the Faith, Even When You Can't See the Outcome
Faith matters most when the answers aren’t clear. It’s easy to feel confident when everything is going well, but trusting God through uncertainty requires patience, courage, and a willingness to release what we cannot control.
Proverbs 3:5 reminds us to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
We may not understand every delay or disappointment, but we can choose to believe our current circumstances don’t determine the rest of our story.
Do What You Can, and Release What You Can't
And when you’ve done all you can, give yourself permission to rest.
You don’t have to solve every problem today. You don’t have to have every answer. And you certainly don’t have to carry tomorrow’s worries before tomorrow arrives.
A Gentle Reminder
Take each day as it comes. Be patient with yourself. Appreciate the progress you’ve already made, even when it feels small.
Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep moving forward.
And above all, trust the process.
